Position Summary:
The HR and Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that HR operations and organizational compliance align with company and government construction regulations. This position supports human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training, while also managing construction compliance initiatives such as policy adherence, regulatory reporting, and staff credentialing. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about HR practices and construction compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support:
Assist with recruitment, interview scheduling, background checks, and new hire onboarding.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including training and certifications.
Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and employee inquiries.
Help coordinate training sessions, performance reviews, and staff development initiatives.
Monitor HR policies and ensure alignment with applicable employment laws and internal guidelines.
Compliance Coordination:
Ensure compliance with construction reulatory bodies
Maintain current knowledge of government laws related to construction and employment.
Manage employee credentialing and licensure tracking systems to ensure all staff meet regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing for audits, inspections, and surveys by regulatory bodies.
Coordinate the implementation and communication of compliance policies and procedures.
Track compliance training completion and report non-compliance to leadership.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required.
HR or compliance certifications preferred.
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in a human resources or compliance role, preferably in a Construction environment
Knowledge of construction regulations, labour laws, and HR best practices.
Skills:
Strong understanding of compliance tracking systems.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
