Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, an ambitious and rapidly growing group of businesses, in the search for an experienced Head of Digital Marketing.
This is not a traditional marketing management role.
We're looking for someone who has built their career around websites—someone who understands how to make them perform, generate leads and drive commercial growth.
If you've spent years managing websites, improving SEO, working closely with developers, increasing conversions and wearing multiple hats within a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Opportunity
Our client operates a portfolio of successful B2B businesses and is investing heavily in its digital presence.
With multiple established and growing websites, they are looking for someone to take ownership of digital growth across the group.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have genuine autonomy and responsibility for improving website performance, increasing qualified enquiries and supporting ambitious commercial growth plans.
This position would particularly suit someone who has worked within an SME or owner-managed business, where resources may have been limited and you've become accustomed to taking ownership, solving problems independently and delivering results without relying on large internal marketing teams.
The Role
You'll take ownership of multiple business websites, ensuring they continually evolve into high-performing lead generation platforms.
Rather than simply overseeing strategy, you'll be actively involved in identifying opportunities, analysing performance, improving user journeys and working with developers and stakeholders to implement meaningful improvements.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions and seeing the direct commercial impact of their work.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the digital growth strategy across multiple business websites.
* Improve website performance, lead generation and conversion rates.
* Lead SEO strategy, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation and content planning.
* Review website structures and customer journeys to maximise enquiries.
* Identify conversion bottlenecks and implement improvements.
* Create and optimise landing pages focused on commercial performance.
* Work closely with web developers to deliver website enhancements.
* Analyse website performance using GA4, Search Console and other analytics tools.
* Monitor visitor behaviour and recommend data-driven improvements.
* Run A/B testing and conversion optimisation initiatives.
* Improve website speed, usability and overall user experience.
* Prioritise projects that deliver measurable commercial results.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders while taking ownership of delivery.
About You
This role is designed for someone who enjoys working independently and taking ownership.
You'll probably recognise yourself in many of the following:
* You've spent years managing and improving websites rather than simply managing marketing campaigns.
* You've worked in smaller or growing businesses where you needed to be resourceful and wear multiple hats.
* You're comfortable making decisions without relying on large marketing departments.
* You naturally look for ways to improve website performance and increase enquiries.
* You enjoy solving problems and turning ideas into action.
* You're commercially minded and understand that websites should generate measurable business growth.
* You thrive in an environment where you can genuinely make a difference.
Essential Experience
Proven experience managing and improving multiple business websites.
Strong understanding of SEO, including technical SEO and on-page optimisation.
Experience improving website conversion rates and lead generation.
Excellent understanding of website structure, UX and customer journeys.
Strong experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and website reporting.
Experience using platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Hotjar,…
