The OpportunityAn opportunity to support and work with a passionate and determined team of music teachers. You will be responsible for the support and ongoing training of a team of up to 12 band coaches. You will ensure individuals are delivering high‑quality lessons in schools whilst also being their first point of contact for any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, train and support a team of up to 12 band coaches.
- Conduct observations, 1:1s, PDPs and ensure performance against KPIs.
- Carry out regular lesson observations, providing feedback and demonstrations.
- Plan and conduct probationary reviews and subsequent performance management meetings.
- Effectively manage poor performance and disciplinary issues with the support of HR.
- Ensure admin tasks are completed and kept up to date.
- Lead your team to maintain the mission and values of the company.
- Ensure you and your team adhere to company policies & procedures at all times.
- Growing student numbers across the region delivering measurable impact every week.
- Maintain high levels of communication with your team and iRock’s Senior Leadership Team.
- Evaluate current business processes and report any issues on the field to the Regional Manager.
- Plan and execution of team performance meetings.
- 2+ years of teaching experience desired but not required.
- Good knowledge and ability to teach all of the following – guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.
- Own a car and be willing to do extensive travelling and occasional overnight stays.
- Be able to organise your own schedule and effectively manage your workload.
- Have a strong set of administrative skills.
- Be a determined and driven person with a high work ethic.
- Be approachable and have strong communication skills.
- Have a strong set of problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to motivate individuals to uphold the company’s mission and values.
- Full time, permanent position working during the day.
- 11 weeks of paid school holidays per year.
