Farm Manager - Kent - £45,000 - £55,000+ Bonus + Benefits

The Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Farm Manager to oversee mixed farming operations on a large‑scale, forward‑thinking estate in Kent. Reporting to the Estate and Conservation Manager, you will take a leading role in livestock management, regenerative agriculture, and day‑to‑day estate operations. Responsibilities will include managing sheep and cattle in line with organic and pasture‑fed principles, maintaining animal health and movement records, and leading herd expansion plans.

You will also oversee grazing systems, crop planning and soil health initiatives, ensuring all practices align with regenerative and sustainability goals. The role will involve general estate duties such as fencing, hedgerow management, cultivation and water systems maintenance alongside operating farm machinery. You will collaborate with conservation partners on environmental projects and supervise junior team members, providing clear leadership and direction.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ practical farming experience, with a strong background in livestock management (sheep and cattle). You will have a solid understanding of organic systems, pasture‑based grazing and regenerative agriculture principles. You will be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, capable of managing and motivating a small team. A strong operational mindset, attention to detail and the ability to work both strategically and hands‑on are essential.

Relevant machinery operation licenses are required, along with a firm commitment to health and safety. Desirable skills include knowledge of ecology and biodiversity, chainsaw certification, livestock transport licensing and experience in procurement.
