We are recruiting a Head of Care – to lead and oversee Empower Family Group's Residential, Supported Living and Outreach services, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and organisational policies.
As our Head of Care, you’ll be at the heart of our mission – Empowering Care, Working Together, Learning and Leading – and play a pivotal role in strengthening our culture, maintaining safeguarding standards, and operational excellence.
You will provide effective strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality, consistent care and support for children and young people across all existing and future provisions.
The role is responsible for ensuring that services meet performance and growth objectives, supporting the development of new provisions, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, you will lead placement decision‑making, coordinate care planning, and promote a collaborative approach to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide effective leadership and management across Residential, Supported Living and Outreach services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, government guidance, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery for children and young people.
- Lead placement decisions and work collaboratively with commissioners, local authorities, and other partner agencies.
- Support the strategic growth and development of existing and new service provisions.
- Monitor service performance against agreed targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure a coordinated, child‑centred approach to care planning and service delivery across all provisions.
This role plays a key part in supporting Empower's vision to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Experience:
- Senior managerial: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Degree (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management Qualification (required)
