The Opportunity

An established Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major, high-value industrial development in the South East.

This is a significant and highly complex project, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior construction professional to take overall responsibility for delivery and lead a large multidisciplinary team.

The Role

As Project Director, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, providing strategic leadership across all aspects of construction.

Your responsibilities will include:

Overall leadership and management of the project.
Responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality and health & safety.
Leading and developing a large project team.
Managing senior client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
Overseeing design, procurement and construction activities.
Managing key subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
Driving programme performance and delivery against key milestones.
Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
Ensuring strong project governance and reporting.
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

About You

We are looking for an established Project Director or Senior Project Manager with experience delivering large-scale, complex construction projects, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, defence, data centre or other technically demanding environments.

You will ideally have:

Experience delivering projects of significant value.
Strong leadership experience within a Tier 1 contractor environment.
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams.
A proven track record of delivering complex projects safely, on programme and to budget.
Relevant construction or engineering qualifications.
