Welder​/fabricator

As a Welder, Fabricator & Assembly Operative, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing steel frames, doors, panels and associated products, working accurately from detailed drawings and specifications.
This is a hands-on shop-floor role where quality, consistency and attention to detail are key.
You’ll be responsible for:
 
* Welding, fabricating and assembling steel products to detailed drawings
 
* Producing steel frames, doors and panel variants to specification
 
* Working on both project-specific and standard stock components
 
* Ensuring weld quality, consistency and integrity at every stage
 
* Self-inspecting your work to required quality standards
 
* Highlighting and recording any issues, variances or improvements
 
* Working to production deadlines and lead times
 
* Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
 
* Supporting general production and housekeeping activities when required
 
* Contributing to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
 
* Supporting internal quality audits when required

What you’ll need
To be successful as a Welder / Fabricator / Assembly Operative, you’ll bring:
 
* Proven experience welding, fabricating and assembling steel components
 
* Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
 
* A methodical, quality-focused approach
 
* Confidence self-inspecting work and meeting quality standards
 
* Ability to work to deadlines in a production environment
 
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety
 
* A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to improvements
Experience producing security, fire-rated or fabricated steel products would be advantageous, but not essential for the right person.
