Shop Assistant

We are currently looking for a Second Hand Shop Assistant to join our team at a busy tip site shop, helping to give unwanted items a second life rather than going to waste.

Working Hours

• Monday - Saturday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Sunday: 09:00 - 16:00
• Working on a 6 days on, 3 days off rota

The Role

As a Second Hand Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing great customer service and helping to keep the shop running smoothly.

Your duties will include:

• Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
• Using a card machine to process customer payments
• Assisting customers with queries and purchases
• Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented
• Sorting and displaying items for sale
• Helping to ensure items are ready for resale
• Working as part of a team to keep the shop running efficiently

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have good customer service skills
• Be friendly, approachable and helpful
• Be confident using a card machine
• Have a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Be comfortable working in a busy environment
• Be reliable and able to work the 6 on, 3 off rota
