Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast-paced accounting team in Kent, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys managing high-volume invoice processing. Experience in the food production industry is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Match, verify, and code invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with month-end close by preparing accruals and AP reports
• Respond to vendor inquiries and foster positive vendor relationships
• Support internal audits and provide required documentation

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
• Experience in food production, manufacturing, or distribution preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• High school diploma required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field a plus
• Competitive salary ($55,000 – $59,000/year)
