Hello! I am Heidi Gustafson. I am a 6th grade/7th grade teacher as well as a peer-instructional coach for all of our teachers. I am assisting in 6th grade as a specialist teacher instructing students in Digital Literacy as well as helping them learn Life Skills. I am also teaching 7th graders academic study skills in S.M.A.R.T.S. class, which covers skills, motivation, awareness, resilience, talents, and success to help students in all areas of learning.
The remainder of my day is working with and providing instructional coaching for teaching staff.
I earned my Bachelor’s of Science from Valley City State University way back in 1996, and then went on to obtain my Masters in Teaching, Learning and Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2020. I live in Sauk Centre with my husband, Kent, and our daughters, Finley and Karli. We also have 2 furballs that live with us - Remy a Husky/Labradoodle mix and Bex - a gray barn cat.
When I’m not working you might find me taking a long walk, reading a book or shopping with our girls.
