Teacher, Itinerant General and Instrumental Music

• Position Type:
  Certificated/Elementary Specialist

Annualized Salary Min: $75,276 Max: $146,936

* Prorated based off FTE and contract length

This position will be responsible for teaching band and/or orchestra as well as general music primarily to elementary students across multiple school sites. The assignment includes delivering developmentally appropriate lessons to students in general music and beginning instruments (band and/or orchestra). This position may also include facilitating performances outside of the school day.

• Major in instrumental music is preferred.
• A master's degree is preferred.
• The ability to demonstrate proper techniques for traditional band and orchestra instruments is required.
• Candidate must have a proven commitment to an exemplary comprehensive music program, enthusiasm, and skills necessary to maintain and continue to improve a high achieving instrumental program.
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred.
• Experience in, and ability to teach both band and orchestra instruments preferred.
• Experience with Orff, World Drumming, and fretted instruments (guitar, and ukulele) preferred.
