Service Engineer III – Kent, Washington
Job DescriptionPerform Service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on‑site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end‑of‑life services and replacements of a variety of turbochargers for commercial applications). Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectations. Create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understand their needs.
Identify new sales opportunities and communicate them internally. Coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Proactively identify potential equipment failures and request proactive corrective actions. Troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
Identify opportunities for product and quality improvement and communicate them further in the Accelleron organization. Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Apply safety rules and safe practices, as well as environmental responsibilities, and report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience working with turbochargers and reciprocating engines.
• 6 years of experience performing on‑site field work, including performing technical support services and serving as the customer contact; performing turbocharging rotor balancing, calibrating, and troubleshooting balancing machine functions; overseeing lifting and rigging; leading multiple crews in complex work environments; and performing vessel boarding and using ERP systems.
• Up to 75% travel (international and domestic) including weekends and holidays.
- We are offering a salary range of $92,706 to $93,400.
