Position
Production Stuffing Operator 1 – 3rd Shift, Oberto Snacks Inc., Kent, WA. Onsite.
Schedule & PayShift: 3rd Shift, 8 hours per day with possible overtime during peak seasons. Wage: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour DOE, plus $1.00 shift differential. Training of 6‑9 months on 1st or 2nd shift before transitioning to 3rd shift.
Responsibilities- Operate machines to ensure quality standards are consistently met, schedule attainment, and line efficiency.
- Maintain machines, adjusting registration, sealing temperature, speed, gas levels, and slicing width.
- Perform quality assurance checks including hourly weight/count checks, oxygen level tests, metal detection, and blade inspection.
- Load and thread film, set up workstations, and perform metal detection.
- Verify correct spices, record weights, and maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.
- Run labels according to product specifications and manage machine changeovers, including sanitizing for allergen changes.
- Train new personnel, supervise crew, and monitor safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, report malfunctions, and clear machine jams.
- Follow all specification sheets and safety protocols.
- Support SQF 2000 systems, food safety, and quality principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
- Pallet jack experience preferred.
- Lock‑Out Tag‑Out certification (OJT).
- Familiarity with HACCP and SQF preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP and personal safety rules.
- Understanding of food safety and quality fundamentals; ability to work cooperatively and use discretion/judgment.
- Ability to meet deadlines, read specifications and BOMs, perform basic math, troubleshoot, and make quick decisions.
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
