Veterinary Receptionist

About The Role

Veterinary Receptionist – DNA Vetcare Ltd (Mead Veterinary Centre) – Dartford. The role is a full‑time, 40‑hour work week, with 5 days and 1½ weekend days, days back in lieu and shared bank holiday TOIL.

• Act as the first point of contact – greeting clients and their pets with a smile.
• Schedule appointments and manage the RX Works diary.
• Promote the Healthcare Plan and book follow‑up appointments.
• Assist the Vet and Nurse teams with queries.
• Scan and upload paperwork into pets’ digital records.
• Liaise with clients regarding appointment booking and medication collection.
• Order food, medication and supplies.
• Process payments immediately after treatment, including 0% finance application.
• Maintain an efficient reception desk, responding to emails and social media messages.
• Cuddle and comfort pets as required.

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a customer‑facing role within the Veterinary or Medical industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Genuine love for animals and commitment to outstanding client service.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software; experience using RxWorks is a major plus.
