The Product Inspector is responsible for conducting food safety checks with support for the ready-to-eat processing lines. This role monitors the quality and food safety of WIP to ensure consistent and safe products that meet company specifications are supplied to our customers.
WAGE: Hourly range for this position is $19.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour for shift differential for working 2 nd shift.
Primary Responsibilities- Gather random samples and perform MPR AW (water activity) analysis in accordance with written procedures.
- Release product based on the results of AW samples.
- Ensure sanitary handling procedures in all activities.
- Inform Management of any Food Safety/Quality issues or of any processes which have become noncompliant with specified requirements.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High School or Equivalent
- Experience with Quality Assurance (Preferred)
- Basic computer literacy (Using iPad)
- Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (OJT)
- Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (OJT)
- Familiarity with HACCP (OJT)
- 6 months processing experience preferred.
- 6 months quality control experience preferred

Work environment is that of a processing environment. This employee regularly works with hazardous machinery, materials, chemicals, wet floors and with wet equipment. This employee regularly works around high voltage, hot water, and steam
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Physical work includes climbing stairs, pulling hoses, etc.
- Willing to work in a various-temperature environment
- Ability to handle heavy objects safely and with proper body mechanics. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and routinely maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
