The Lead Technician I must lead each phase of mitigation and/or environmental projects from initial stage to completion. Reports directly to Supervisor and may be co‑managed by Project Manager or Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to discuss schedules and scope.
- Pickup and order materials, move client contents, perform repairs at highest quality while adhering to code and industry standards.
- Lead small group of technicians, providing supervision and direction.
- Maintain company assigned vehicle and restock supplies.
- Complete and submit crew sheets and job notes daily.
- Enforce company policy and safety procedures while performing services.
- Assist in development of technicians through mentoring, coaching, and encouraging skill growth.
- Assist in jobsite safety briefings, providing training within scope of knowledge.
- Complete timecards accurately and ensure crew does the same.
- Turn in completed work orders with measurements, moisture readings, and detailed paperwork for billing.
- Maintain trade skills through regular training provided by company.
- Minimum 1‑year experience as lead technician in construction/restoration or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class
C) with good driving record. - Must be insurable.
- Understanding of safety guidelines and holds crew accountable.
- Knowledge of company handbook, SOPs, and communication of desired outcomes.
- Support crew development through demonstration and encouragement.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Continuous growth mindset, open to feedback and teaches others.
- Good grasp of English language.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Able to pass Respirator Physical and obtain fit exam.
- Can interpret and apply basic instructions such as Material Data Sheets.
- Industry certifications preferred; able to pass medical exams if required.
- Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.
- Required PPE: gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, safety footwear.
- Practice ergonomic principles to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.
- Complete mandatory safety training sessions.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Emergency procedures: familiarity with evacuation routes and contacts.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, lift above shoulder, twist.
- Prolonged sitting or standing required; alternate between sitting and standing.
- Repetitive motion tasks such as typing and data entry.
- Operate machinery and tools as required.
- Clear vision for computer use and close work.
- Field Environment:
Outdoor fieldwork at restoration sites; exposure to weather conditions. - Travel Requirements:
May include travel to job sites and remote training.
