• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables to ensure proper functioning of network infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fiber optic connections, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of fiber optic installations and identify potential obstacles or hazards.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop efficient network layouts and configurations.
• Adhere to industry standards and regulations for fiber optic installation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Keep detailed records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting any changes made to network configurations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment, such as fusion splicers and OTDRs, to perform fiber optic tasks accurately and effectively.
• Stay informed about advancements in fiber optic technology and industry best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in fiber optics preferred.
• Proven experience working with fiber optic networks, including installation, splicing, and testing.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for fiber optic infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in outdoor environments and at elevated heights.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
