Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

The Technician I will perform a variety of tasks under the direct supervision and guidance of the Lead Technician. The primary role is to develop knowledge and expertise in the proper use of industry-specific tools and equipment through on-the-job training. This position reports to the Branch Manager/Operations Manager of the location and interfaces with other departments as required.

• Follow direction from Lead Technician(s) regarding assigned work and ask questions when necessary.
• Perform assigned tasks to help expedite job completion as directed by the Superintendent, Lead Technician or Operations Manager. Tasks may include: pickup and order materials, and moving client contents.
• Lift and pack away contents in boxes and furniture. Haul materials, trash, and stock jobs as directed by the Lead Technician, depending on Division.
• Assist Lead Technician in maintaining company vehicle to standards and restock vehicle supplies as needed.
• Complete time reporting paperwork (crew sheets and notes) and submit timecards promptly.
• Attend safety briefings and training to develop knowledge of safety protocols.
• Adhere to safe work practices and regularly use PPE. May be required to wear respiratory protection for certain activities.

• Work experience using basic hand tools in a construction or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to understand and apply basic safety protocols.
• Physically fit to perform duties described above.
• Ability to read and understand basic written instructions.
• Dexterity and good eye/hand coordination; good balance.
• Ability to make good judgments under pressure. English language skills are a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly to Lead Technician or Superintendent when necessary.
• Ability to follow directions to perform work under direct supervision.
• Approved respirator physical and fit testing.

• Regulatory Requirements:
  Adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
• PPE:
  Use appropriate PPE (gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, safety footwear) as required for roles and sites.
• Physical Clearance:
  Complete pulmonary function test and respirator fit testing to ensure safe respirator use.
• Physical Hazards:
  Potential exposure to vibration, falls, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels.
• Chemical Hazards:
  Possible exposure to solvents, adhesives, paints, and cleaning agents; handle and store materials safely.
• Biological Hazards:
  Possible exposure to mold, bacteria, and other pathogens in restoration environments.
• Safety Training:
  Complete mandatory safety training, including hazard communication, emergency response, and safe equipment handling.
• Reporting Safety Concerns:
  Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or injuries to supervisors without fear of retaliation.
• Emergency Procedures:
  Be familiar with site-specific emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and contacts.

• Lifting and Carrying:
  Lift/move materials or equipment up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

  Outdoor restoration sites; exposure to various weather conditions.
• Hazardous Environments:
  Exposure to hazardous materials and contaminants; strict safety protocols and PPE required.
• Travel:
  May travel to job sites or attend trainings and meetings as needed.
