This position requires in‑role training at an operating site that will last over 5 weeks. The training will be located more than 50 miles away from the home site. All travel accommodations will be booked and paid for by Amazon.

Rural Super Rural (RSR) is an organization dedicated to ensuring customers receive their deliveries and are satisfied with service, even in remote areas. RSR combines operations and support teams to innovate the last‑mile delivery process and bring smiles to our customers’ faces.

Amazon is seeking self‑motivated Driver Trainers to build a network of customer‑centric Delivery Associates. The Driver Trainer mentors others, teaches in large groups, and conducts hands‑on drive‑alongs to instill safe practices.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 people, including in‑station classes and drive‑alongs.
  • Partner with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), Operations Managers, Area Managers, and Learning Teams to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training‑related activities.
  • Have a detailed understanding of processes, expectations, and training requirements for all drivers across the various driver programs in operation.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on training completion, compliance, safety, and maintenance duties.
  • Execute to the standard, ensuring that the content and experience complement the safety, quality, and legal procedures as defined.
  • Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards such as vehicle inspection reports, hours of service, trip planning, and safe driving practices.
  • Track and monitor performance, including on‑road ride‑behind to measure quality, adherence to standards, and identify re‑training and process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck as scheduled using approved equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work outdoors and drive different motor vehicles over the road.
  • Drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). in on‑road processes regularly to stay connected to operations.
  • Serve as a resource to the delivery station for driver‑training‑related questions.
  • Support the business as a peer trainer on an as‑needed basis.
  • Motivate, coach, and provide feedback to Delivery Associates during training.
  • Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles of the home station and have reliable transportation.
  • Operate and navigate a vehicle no heavier than 26,000 pounds.
  • Track performance and provide identified re‑training and process improvement opportunities to develop non‑CDL drivers under DOT‑regulated training.
  • Effectively operate a GPS.
  • May be required to obtain DOT Regulation Qualification as a condition of the role.
  • Work 40 hours per week and overtime as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work 40 hours per week and overtime as required.
  • Valid and active driver’s license.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Age 21 or older.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • Experience delivering training to both individuals and groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or prior Amazon experience.
  • Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication across various levels of an organization.
  • History of meeting or exceeding departmental goals.
