Forklift Operator contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Forklift operators are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment, and performing related duties. They transport valuable items requiring diligence, good hand‑eye coordination, and cautious handling.

• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Check purchase orders/work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled.
• Assist in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Perform quality control to ensure no damaged products are sent out or stored.
• Operate within standard operating procedures.
• Operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Pick and wrap orders for shipment.
• Provide fill‑in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Adhere to safety management standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints. Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment. The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, correctly apply rules to arrange actions. Requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion; must lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.

Ability to read, speak, and write in English. Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and unafraid of heights or adverse climatic conditions. Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance. Available to work extended hours.

Some Forklift Operators will spend time in the warehouse’s refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires wearing safety equipment, including but not limited to steel‑toed boots. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday (standard 40 hours per week); however, evening, night shift, overtime, and weekend hours are common in some branch offices.
