Position:
Warehouse Lead 1st Shift, Onsite at 54th Street, Kent, WA.
We are looking for a Warehouse Lead who will direct, train, and coordinate warehouse staff to meet distribution goals while ensuring safety and quality.
About The PositionResponsible for directing, training, and coordinating the warehouse staff to meet company distribution goals while ensuring employee and product safety. Requires strong attention to detail and a focus on following established procedures.
Schedule- 1st Shift
- 8 hours per day with possible daily overtime and during peak summer/fall production.
$27.00 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities- Train, develop, and monitor employees to ensure they have necessary knowledge and skills.
- Ensure employees are cross‑trained to provide backup.
- Perform tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Adapt to unplanned changes.
- Instruct and monitor employees for safety procedures; maintain equipment.
- Maintain safety culture; keep safety equipment in good order.
- Maintain DC in accordance with quality and cleanliness guidelines.
- Verify received shipments; identify and document damaged materials.
- Prioritize distribution tasks and delegate to staff.
- Direct employee activity; monitor receiving, putaway, picking, cycle counts.
- Evaluate disciplinary actions; coordinate with HR when necessary.
- Determine innovative methods to improve quality, productivity, efficiency.
- Communicate shift schedule and changes; troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Provide performance feedback to employees.
- Maintain communication with purchasing, production, etc.
- Maintain DC documents accurately.
- Coordinate with leadership on labor planning.
- Complete warehouse capacity reports.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years in a warehouse environment.
- HACCP and SQF trained (OJT acceptable).
- Forklift safety certified.
- Background in food manufacturing preferred.
- Computer literacy: MS Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP/MRP/WMS.
- English competency.
- Cooperative, diplomatic, analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to lead and follow policies.
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with forklift, reach truck, and other pallet moving equipment.
- Internal candidates must be in good standing.
