Summary: The Staff Accountant delivers accounting and financial reporting services, prepares individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns, and supports client relationships and firm growth. RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES- Implement client engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects)
- Prepare tax returns and make recommendations regarding tax savings opportunities
- Provide bookkeeping & financial statement services for businesses in a variety of industries
- Proactively interact with clients to gather information, resolve accounting & tax-related issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
- Dedication to extraordinary client service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Accounting and tax internship experience preferred.
