Barwick Banking Company is seeking an entry level accounting specialist to support the daily financial operations of Barwick Bank and ensure accuracy, compliance and timely processing of accounting transactions. This is a great opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys accuracy, reconciliation work, and contributing to the financial integrity of a mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their accounting career who are detail oriented, organized, and eager to learn within a community focused banking environment.

• Perform daily account reconciliations and maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Process and review general ledger entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and exceptions.
• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports and schedules.
• Support the CFO and accounting team with special projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain organized records and documentation.

• 2+ years of accounting or banking experience (strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes .
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with bank core systems a plus) .
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
