Front Desk/Receptionist, Clerical, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
This position is benefited. It is for 35 hours per week during the school days.
Position OverviewThe Receptionist, School provides front office support by greeting and directing visitors, responding to inquiries from staff, parents, students, and community members, and providing clerical assistance to school administrators and office personnel. This position helps maintain building security procedures while supporting daily school office operations.
Key Responsibilities- Greet visitors, parents, vendors, and students entering the school and direct them appropriately.
- Answer the school telephone system, transfer calls, and take messages.
- Monitor building access and ensure school security procedures are followed.
- Administer first aid and prescription medication to students when the nurse is not available.
- Assist the finance secretary with cashier duties including processing payments and managing deposits.
- Distribute mail, deliveries, and messages to appropriate staff and students.
- Maintain reception area information and visitor sign-in procedures.
- Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling, data entry, filing, copying, and recordkeeping.
- Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate personnel when needed.
- Provide information and respond to inquiries from students, parents, staff, and community members.
- Assist school staff and administrators with general office tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
