Who we are looking for:
The Mechanic II (mid-level) is expected to handle diagnosis and repairs of vehicles as assigned by the shop office. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in an automotive repair capacity.
What you will do:- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Repair automobiles, trucks, and other motor vehicles.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including mounting tires and oil changes.
- Possess a working knowledge of how vehicle components work and interact.
- Repair vehicles that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels.
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components, including bad fuel pumps and removing security systems.
- Must be flexible to work extra hours if needed, including occasional weekends.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- High School Diploma preferred
- ASE Certification preferred.
- Training and certifications preferred.
- At least two years' experience in mechanical repair.
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work outdoors.
- Ability to learn job specific computer programs.
- Able to work outside in any weather conditions.
- Must be able and willing to be underneath vehicles to do visual frame inspection.
