We're looking for an Ecommerce Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our ecommerce platform, support the implementation of new products, and ensure that all connected tools and systems work together to deliver a consistent, high‑quality experience. You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, IT, customer experience, logistics, and manufacturing sites to ensure our e‑commerce platform and its integrations operate effectively. The role involves building out all ecommerce capabilities, developing tools to ensure on‑time deliveries to the end customer, and applying an analytical approach with data and metrics to refine processes and controls.

Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Own the daily operations of our ecommerce process (Epicor, Customer Ecommerce Portals), ensuring stability, speed, and seamless functionality across the customer journey.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to identify and resolve site‑related issues, proactively finding and fixing friction points in the customer journey.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate product data and inventory across systems (TBD) and outbound channels (email, ads, marketplaces).
  • Lead QA for new features, ensuring they meet design expectations and deliver a polished, on‑brand experience.
Experience And Skills You'll Need To Have
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with emphasis in Marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience (4‑6+ years in ecommerce operations or site management).
  • Familiarity with ecommerce integrations that elevate the customer experience—personalization, returns, fit tools, user‑generated content, etc.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong project management and communication skills, able to keep cross‑functional partners aligned and informed.
  • Ability to lead a workforce and interface with company leadership, presenting metrics and status of the ecommerce business.
  • A curious, proactive attitude and an ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely, precise manner and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Assemble new business sample kits and efficiently organize sample materials in the warehouse space.
  • Maintain eCommerce customer relationships by processing client quotations and transactions.
  • Manage external carriers, schedule pickups, coordinate product movement with logistics and operations, and interface with customer software as needed to ensure proper fulfillment.
  • Negotiate freight rates and identify ways to reduce costs in materials or fulfillment practices.
  • Quote and create pricing for new products, assist in packaging design or stand‑up to minimize breakage.
  • Contribute to the implementation of systems for increasing eCommerce customer retention alongside other Client Services Team members.
  • Manage vendor samples by informing key stakeholders of receipt and ensuring it is documented.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales teams with special requests (e.g., expedited orders, sample requests).
  • Interface with all departments, emphasizing operations and commercial.
  • Stand up processes to support business growth and customer requirements, ensuring a successful ecommerce program within Tarter.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
