Commercial Insights Manager

Select Design is seeking a curious, commercially minded Commercial Insights Manager to join our Burlington, VT team. This new role is ideal for a self-starter who finds sales opportunities in data and turns them into plays our teams can run. You will work across both of our business lines, Select Design and brandhub, and build this function from the ground up.

• Start with a commercial question, get the data to answer it, and come back with a recommendation.
• Find opportunities across our portfolio of clients and programs.
• Build the business case. Size the opportunity, frame the argument, and make it something a seller or client can act on.
• Present your work to leadership and directly to clients.
• Set up repeatable opportunity reviews so discovery becomes a process, not a one-off.

• 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, strategy consulting, or a similar analytical role.
• Proficient SQL and the ability to build and maintain your own data pipelines without waiting on engineering.
• Python or an equivalent language for sourcing and enriching messy data.
• Proficiency in at least one BI tool.
• A track record of analysis that led to a decision, including an opportunity you found on your own initiative and what happened when you took it to someone.
• Curiosity and the instinct to spot problems nobody flagged and find answers before anyone asks.
• Clear communication skills. You can turn a complicated finding into a simple argument.
• Experience in beverage alcohol, CPG, or trade marketing is a plus, not a requirement.
