After School Childcare Staff with Healthy Kids Programs
We are hiring staff for our After School Program for the school year.
Job Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Location: Custer Elementary, Custer, KY
Pay: $14.50 per hour
Hours: 3:00–5:00 pm
- Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group activities, plus homework assistance.
- Provide a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
- Report ready to work at designated times and stay until the last child leaves the program.
- Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
- Observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases, including TB.
- Warm, friendly, upbeat, and possess exceptional people skills. Professional, reliable, and prompt.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry up to 50 lb., and keep up with the children.
