Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant

Location: Oak Brook, IL 60523

Employment Type: Part-time (24 hours/week on average)

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with flexibility to adjust shifts to 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM as needed)

Note:

Some flexibility available to shift Wednesday or Friday shifts to Thursday if needed for the right candidate – Tuesdays not available.

Compensation: $30 - $37 per hour (W2), Commensurate with experience

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

• Maintain a smoke free environment
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (mileage reimbursement will be provided)
• Experience working with and around children
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate stairs
• Ability to work independently, with a proactive and self-sufficient approach
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

We are a warm and intentional family of six, balancing the energy of our four children with the demands of our careers and ongoing home projects. Our children, ages 9, 7, 4, and 2, each have unique interests that are growing quickly, and we're actively navigating their expanding schedules alongside our own. One parent works full-time from home with some travel, while the other has recently transitioned into a part-time role, allowing her to juggle parenting duties with her work commitments.

With the complexity of two home builds—one here in Oak Brook, where we currently live, and a summer home in Michigan—we’re staying busy overseeing the building process and managing all the moving parts involved.

As we continue to grow and change, we’re seeking someone who can step in and partner with us to keep things running smoothly. Our ideal candidate will help us maintain structure and efficiency in our home, allowing us to focus more on quality time together as a family. We value clear communication and a collaborative relationship, and we’re looking for someone who can be a trusted, long-term partner in managing the home.
