We offer a wide range of services, including mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services. Additionally, we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system.

By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery.

The Health RIGHT 360 dental clinic provides compassionate, nonjudgmental comprehensive oral healthcare. Our supportive staff, experienced with the complex healthcare needs resulting from homelessness and poverty, is dedicated to serving the community.

Under the general supervision of a Dentist, Dental Director and the RDA Manager, The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) assists the dentist in providing dental treatment. The Registered Dental Assistant will provide comprehensive chairside assistance, patient care, and support to our dental team. Key responsibilities of the RDA include preparing patients for treatments, taking and developing X-rays, ensuring infection control, and managing patient records.

This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to compassionate, nonjudgmental care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the provision of high-quality care within the scope of service consistent with accepted standards of care for dental assistants.
  • Prepares each operatory and patient for treatment.
  • Takes and prepares radiographs using digital technology.
  • Provides active chair-side assistance to the Dentist and anticipates the provider’s needs.
  • At the conclusion of patient care, assists the patient, clears the work site and prepares for the next patient. Monitors the flow of laboratory cases.
  • Monitors and records sterilization cycles.
  • Maintains and inventories supplies.
  • Helps to manage patient flow in clinic.
  • Follows proper infection control protocols for the practice.
  • Participates in the ongoing evaluation of Dental Program operations to assure the delivery of high[1]quality services that support the financial sustainability of the program.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Polish the patient’s teeth to remove stains and soft deposits.
  • Apply topical fluoride and varnishes.
  • Apply pit and fissure sealants.
  • Remove surgical sutures.
  • Adapt temporary crowns.
  • Place topical medications.
  • Remove excess cement from fabricated restoration and orthodontic bands
QUALIFICATIONS Required Education, Certification, and Experience
  • Registered Dental Assistant License from the Dental Board of California.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • On the job training or Certification in Dental Assisting.
  • Prior experience in front desk reception, administrative and/or customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a dental office setting, preferably in a community dental clinic

  • Qualified candidates with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory background check.
  • Must be capable of meeting health screening and tuberculosis testing requirements.
  • Must be capable of maintaining credential requirements.
  • Must be capable of meeting the program and funder requirements.
