Junior Designer, Men's Footwear at Tecovas

Tecovas is hiring a Junior Designer for men's footwear to support its Product Design team. The role reports directly to the Design Director. It must be based in Austin, Texas, so candidates need to live in the area or be willing to relocate.

• Support the design team in turning seasonal direction and trend research into fresh, globally relevant concepts
• Assist with upper designs, outsoles, trims and embellishments that fit the Tecovas aesthetic
• Produce illustrations, CADs and tech packs in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Work with cross-functional teams on pricing, timelines and brand goals
• Help manage projects from concept to final execution and meet deadlines
• Take part in prototype reviews and update tech packs in response to feedback
• Maintain and add to a digital asset library of swatches, components and templates
• Keep inspiration, samples and prototypes organised
• Travel internationally and attend trade shows and events when needed

• Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design or Industrial Design, or equivalent experience
• One to three years of relevant footwear design experience preferred, but not required
• Proficient at creating CADs, tech packs and technical drawings
• Familiarity with 3D design software is a plus
• Bonus points for experience in leather goods and an understanding of Western lifestyle or culture
