This fellowship provides concentrated exposure to complex orthopedic surgery, advanced imaging guided procedures, and perioperative case management in elite equine athletes, within a hospital based, non-travel practice model.
Fellowship Focus & ACVS AlignmentThis fellowship is structured to support ACVS large animal surgery board preparation, with emphasis on advanced case exposure, refinement of surgical technique, and continued development of clinical judgment following residency training. The program is not a residency but is designed to complement prior training through high case volume and focused mentorship.

Annual case exposure includes:
- Over 100 fracture repairs, including complex and referral orthopedic trauma
- Approximately 400–500 arthroscopic procedures

- Advanced CT‑guided surgical planning and execution
- Comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine equipment consistent with current ACVS practice standards
- Collaboration with experienced, board‑certified equine surgeons
