Associate/Full Professor in Abdominal Imaging – Academic Clinician Track
University of Pennsylvania
· Department of Radiology, Abdominal Imaging Division
Pennsylvania, United States
About This OpportunityPenn Radiology seeks several Associate or Full Professors in Abdominal Imaging on the non-tenure academic clinician track, combining body-imaging interpretation and call coverage with resident/fellow teaching and an explicit educational-leadership role. Applications close on 31 October 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
This senior-rank recruitment is aimed at accomplished abdominal imagers who can take on educational leadership as well as clinical service. The faculty member will interpret body CT, MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy and participate in the Abdominal Imaging Division's off-hours call programme, including evening, night and weekend coverage. Experience with image-guided biopsy is desirable. Teaching extends beyond routine case readouts: the source expects supervision of residents and fellows, participation in interdisciplinary conferences, preparation of learning materials, lectures and teaching posters, and service in an educational leadership role within the division.
Clinical and teaching activity spans Penn Radiology's network, including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital and affiliated sites. The call covers several Associate or Full Professor appointments, with rank based on experience. Its distinguishing feature relative to the junior abdominal-imaging recruitment is the explicit expectation that the successful senior candidate already be an accomplished educator capable of leading educational activity.
