Primary Care Physician, Chief Medical Officer / Medical Director
Central City Concern (CCC) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while helping advance innovative, whole-person healthcare for individuals experiencing homelessness and other underserved populations. This unique role blends direct patient care with provider leadership, offering the opportunity to shape clinical practice, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive quality improvement across our Blackburn Clinic and CCC's Recuperative Care Program.
The position partners closely with the Chief Medical Officer to promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and a culture of continuous learning and compassionate care.

- MD/DO: $239,000 - $359,000, annually
- PA/NP: $147,000 - $220,000, annually
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in providing care as a medical provider for underserved individuals in a community clinic setting.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in established leadership capacity within a healthcare setting required.
- Must have full prescriptive powers in Oregon with a DEA number.
- Preferred: experience with primary care based Hepatitis C treatment or willingness to develop skills.
- Current BLS certification or must obtain within one month if not current.
- Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
- Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Workplace Ace of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects.
- Able to climb stairs several times a day.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.

- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations, and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
Medical Director MD/DO
- Board eligibility or certification in a primary care specialty relevant to our scope of services.
- Licensed to practice as a Physician in Oregon.
Medical Director PA/NP
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program with the appropriate scope of training and unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in Oregon or eligibility for such licensure.
- Appropriate board certification.
Clinical Activity and Leadership
- Provides 0.4 - 0.6 of direct patient care per week in a team setting.
- Serves as clinical leader for Licensed Medical Providers (LMPs) and other clinical staff for their locations, including availability for brief clinical consultation, provision of clinical teaching, and modeling of exemplary clinical practice.
Management and Supervision of Primary Care Providers at Blackburn and Evergreen Clinics
- Manages and supervises the providers in all professional and clinical domains, excluding providers on the behavioral health team. Partners with program operational managers in this work.
