Orthopedic Surgeon

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a 120-day assignment in Kentucky. The role involves clinic and call coverage, including 24-hour call shifts, clinic hours, and weeknight call after clinic. This position requires managing patient consults, follow-ups, and handling trauma joint and fracture repairs.

• Patients per day: 0-3 callbacks per 24-hour period (low volume)
• Staffing Mix: 1 permanent physician on staff. No APP on call, you are first on call. Not a teaching facility. Full Anesthesia and Emergency Departments. Experienced nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Orthopedic Physician on call, without APP support.
• Respond to callbacks for typical trauma joint and fracture repairs.
• Conduct typical rounding and manage patient consults and follow-ups.
• Handle typical trauma joint and fracture repairs, including shoulder, hip, arthroscopy, and knee procedures.
• Work within a Level 4 Trauma Center; no spine surgeries required.
