• Be innovative with developing and deploying lesson plans that align to Tennessee State Standards, the TCA Instructional Model, and students’ unique learning needs
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and communicate results regularly with students and families
• Participate in and lead professional development activities locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally
• Create an innovative classroom environment where student engagement and participation come naturally
• Perform other related duties with joy in the spirit of collaboration

• Proven track record of academic outcomes
• Knowledge of child and youth cognitive development and different learning styles
• Knowledge of content matter and related frameworks
• Knowledge of Tennessee State Standards
• Deep knowledge of instructional best practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of ALL students
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
• Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices
• Ability to connect and collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and the community
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Master’s Degree preferred
• Valid teaching license and endorsement with the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) or a valid teaching license and endorsement from a state that offers reciprocity with Tennessee
• At least one year working with students preferred
