To receive visitors and incoming calls to the Guidance Office in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner and type correspondence and other documents for the Guidance Counselors.

• Receives and routes all incoming calls to the Guidance Office.
• Assists counselors in scheduling and answering student, teacher, parent appointments and questions.
• Assists in preparing correspondence for the counseling office.
• Assists counselors in maintaining up-to-date student records.
• Assists in the registration and orientation of the students.
• Assists other office personnel in rendering first-aid.
• Responsible for requesting student records of new students and sending records of withdrawn students to new schools.
• Assists in coordinating the 504 process with administrators/counselors.
• Performs all other guidance or school office related tasks as assigned by the Director of Guidance.

Compensation will be based on 208 contract days on the board-approved 104 salary schedule. This position requires a 7.5-hour workday.
