Reports to – Principal

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction based on approved curriculum.
• Monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Enforce school policies, regulations, and rules.
• Supervise students and maintain school property and materials.

Additional Duties:

• Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Create a conducive learning environment appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Guide learning towards curriculum goals and set objectives for lessons and projects.
• Use appropriate instructional methods and prepare for classes.
• Assist in implementing policies and developing classroom rules to maintain order.
• Assess student achievements regularly and communicate progress to parents.
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences and maintain accurate records.
• Engage in professional growth and attend staff meetings and committees.
• Perform health services if trained and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The work involves standing and walking, effective communication, use of hands, and physical activities like bending and lifting light weights.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Kentucky certification appropriate to the grade level and curriculum.
• Experience and preparation as required by the Board.
