Substitute Teacher

The Episcopal Academy welcomes applications for daily substitute teaching opportunities in our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. As a substitute teacher, you will support student learning during a teacher's absence, follow prepared lesson plans, and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to support students and daily routines.
• Provide the classroom teacher with feedback about the day's activities and any concerns.

The ideal candidate for the Substitute Teacher position at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:

• A bachelor's degree; a degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous teaching, substitute teaching, or experience working with children is an asset.
• A commitment to student safety, well-being, and learning.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A dependable, flexible approach and the ability to follow established plans and procedures.
