Purpose:

** This is a 9-month, tenure-earning, Assistant Professor of International Relations and/or Comparative Politics position in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Responsibilities include a 2/2 teaching load, research/scholarship, and service.

*** Demonstrate excellence in teaching introductory and advanced courses in international relations and comparative politics
* Expertise in a specific region (preferably Latin America, East or Southeast Asia) is desirable
* Contribute to our M.A. in International Affairs program, have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and possess an active research agenda

** In recent years, UNF has transitioned to an R2 institution with an increasing focus on research while maintaining excellence in teaching. Faculty at UNF are on flexible teaching loads, typically teaching between four and six courses per year, with newly hired faculty on a reduced load of two courses per semester for the first three years.
