The Office of the Dean of Students is dedicated to helping every student thrive by fostering a campus environment where students feel connected, heard, and empowered. We support students in accessing resources, navigating challenges, and making progress toward their academic goals. Our team also guides students through behavioral and academic misconduct processes with care, helping them learn from experiences and build skills that will serve them throughout their time at Boise State and beyond.

The Office of the Dean of Students is seeking a Student Conduct Programs Manager to advance academic integrity and support the coordination of student conduct processes. This position will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to address concerns, strengthen practices for in-person and online learning environments, and provide proactive education about academic integrity and the Student Code of Conduct.

Job Summary /Basic Function:

The Student Conduct Programs Manager will serve the Student Conduct Program under the Office of the Dean of Students. The primary duty will be facilitation of the Academic Integrity Program, while an aspect of the work will contribute to the management and coordination of behavioral misconduct. Academic Integrity is central to the mission and success of Boise State University, additionally as Boise State’s eCampus grows and online programs and courses become a mainstay of the university, specialized attention must be paid to new opportunities and challenges presented through online and distance education.

Proactive education for faculty, staff and students to ensure all parties understand academic integrity as well as the requirements of Policy 2020 The Student Code of Conduct is also an integral part of this position.

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions:

Academic Integrity Education, Prevention, and Faculty Support
  • Partner with eCampus, online faculty, the Online Testing Center, and Academic Affairs leaders to strengthen academic-integrity reporting, education, and policy awareness.
  • Develop and deliver faculty professional development on research-based teaching practices, including the effective use of Generative AI, to prevent and respond to academic misconduct.
  • Consult with faculty on reporting concerns, interpreting policy, and using efficient, student-centered reporting practices.
  • Develop campus-wide educational strategies, including classroom visits and workshops, to promote academic integrity and Student Code of Conduct compliance.
  • Support leadership, education, and prevention efforts related to Generative AI, including coordination of shared knowledge and best practices across the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
Academic Misconduct Case Management and Student Support
  • Support and contribute to student conduct program work such as adjudication of mid-level behavioral conduct administrative conferences.
  • Provide educational interventions and guided conversations intended to promote reflection, behavior change, and student learning.
  • Support behavioral conduct matters connected to classroom environments, learning, and professional standards under Policy 3240.
Student Conduct Program Operations and Due Process
  • Recruit, train, and support Conduct Program board members and Respondent Advisors.
  • Conduct mid-level behavioral conduct administrative conferences and contribute to broader Student Conduct Program operations.
Assessment, Research, and Continuous Improvement
  • Assess academic-integrity practices and program outcomes through qualitative and quantitative data collection.
  • Analyze and report trends in academic misconduct, including distinctions between online and campus-based courses, to identify areas needing strategic support.
  • Share findings and recommendations with Academic Affairs, eCampus, and other campus partners.
  • Conduct ongoing research on academic integrity and effective pedagogical practices; use findings and campus data to recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and institutional systems.
