Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Support Specialist for the Office of Education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Education and the direction of the discipline specific Clerkship Director, assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of educational programs within the department. Provides administrative and program support to the Clerkship/Elective/Sub-internship and Boot Camp Directors. Reports to Assistant Dean for Education. The Program Support Specialist for Clinical Education Activities will support to all departmental clinical activities: clerkships, electives, sub-internships, bootcamps departmental activities for physical diagnosis in PCM 2 New Brunswick Site, summative clinical skills assessment and departmental-specific activities in Introduction to the Clerkship Experience.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Provides administrative support to departmental Clerkship, Electives, Sub-internship and Boot Camp Directors and/or the Chief of Education Division as it pertains to all undergraduate clinical medical education activities.
- Liaison to students, faculty, residents, community faculty, affiliated sites and school administration for any issues or questions relating to the Clerkship, Electives, Sub-internships Boot Camp.
- Maintains and update web-based course platform ( AMP ) syllabus and related course material.
- Serves as first support contact for students with issues/problems relating to CATS and AMP .
- Prepares all student activity schedules for each clinical rotation, including weekly floor assignments, scrub sessions (if required), computer training, tutorial sessions, simulation sessions, and exam reviews. (150-190 students/year).
