Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
Toddlers are constantly moving, discovering, communicating, and figuring out their growing independence - and we're looking for a Lead Teacher who loves being part of it.
The Learning Experience
- Byron Center is hiring an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to create a classroom where young children feel safe to explore, build new skills, and learn through play.
- Lead a nurturing, engaging Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Plan and lead sensory activities, art, music, movement, stories, language, and hands-on learning
- Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interactions
- Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and daily routines
- Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
- Observe and document children's developmental progress
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
- Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred
- Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
