We provide after-school academic support, small-group classes, 1-to-1 tutoring, AP subject support, test preparation, and college planning. Our team works closely with students and families to provide structured, personalized academic support in a professional and supportive learning environment.##

Position Overview Premier Academy Walnut is looking for a part-time AP Chemistry Teacher to provide personalized 1-to-1 instruction for high school students. Students may need support with their current AP Chemistry coursework, assignments, quizzes, tests, concept review, and AP exam preparation. Curriculum and instructional resources are provided. Teachers can focus on explaining concepts, strengthening problem-solving skills, identifying weaknesses, and supporting student progress.##

Responsibilities
* Support students with AP Chemistry coursework, homework, quizzes, and tests
* Cover atomic structure, chemical reactions, and stoichiometry
* Teach thermodynamics, equilibrium, and acids and bases
* Cover kinetics, electrochemistry, and laboratory concepts
* Prepare students for AP-style multiple-choice questions and FRQs
* Support AP exam preparation
* Identify student weaknesses and provide targeted instruction## Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Strong knowledge of the AP Chemistry curriculum
* AP Chemistry teaching or tutoring experience##

Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science Education, or a related field
* AP Chemistry teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
* School or school-district experience preferred
* Familiarity with the College Board AP Chemistry curriculum
* Strong communication and instructional skills
* Reliable availability## Schedule & Availability This is a part-time position. Teaching hours are based on student enrollment, subject demand, and instructor availability. AP subject schedules generally depend on 1-to-1 student demand. Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend availability is preferred.##
