The ideal candidate will have a commitment to: teaching excellence; mentoring students from varied backgrounds; curriculum development and continuous improvement; contributing to the service missions of the college and campus; and developing and implementing didactic activities that foster excellence in our PharmD candidates, their pharmacy knowledge, verbal/written communication, and the clinical application of their skills in various courses.

** Required Qualifications for the Teaching Assistant Professor:
*** Earned Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
* Residency or Fellowship training, or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas: teaching, general pharmacy practice, acute care, internal medicine, ambulatory care, or family medicine
* Demonstrated experience teaching pharmacy courses with student-centered pedagogy practices, in both didactic and discussion-based formats
* Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
* Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a departmental setting
* Washington pharmacist licensure or eligibility to obtain Washington licensure within 45 days of hire date
* Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards
