I. Professional Leadership- Will strive to build positive relationships with the school and community.
- Participates in committee structure to develop educational strategies for the school.
- Will be punctual and regular in attendance.
- Will follow school board policy and administrative procedures.
- Will adhere to the state professional Code of Ethics.
- Will maintain confidentiality when dealing with students and records.
- Will use technology appropriately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interacts with students to encourage each individual to perform at their highest level
- Manages all building staff personnel
- Assigns teachers to classrooms and students to classes in accordance with site based policies.
- Completes performance evaluation on all staff
- Resolves staff problems and provides support for teachers.
- Provides general supervision to students.
- Supervises extra curricular activities.
- Evaluates all programs
- Provides in-service training to teachers and staff as needed.
- Works with the school council to develop a school budget and manages the budget
- Implements policy and procedure changes from the School Council, the School Board or the Department of Education
- Other duties that may be assigned.
- Persons in this position must meet current certification requirementsdetermined by the Kentucky Department of Education
- Must complete required professional development and leadership training.
