Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Pipeline Compliance Technician will assist with the implementation of the various components of DGOC’s Pipeline Maintenance programs. Special focus will be placed on:

  • Responsible for all field activities and related pipeline integrity, repair, and maintenance
  • Conducts Compliance facility leak surveys and patrols
  • Conducts Compliance valve operation, maintenance, and testing
  • Conducts pipeline maintenance activities
  • Performs remedial actions when operational deficiencies are noted
  • Conduct various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient operation of the pipeline and facilities
  • Monitor the condition of the pipeline through pipeline patrols, visual inspection, an examination of field data, etc.
  • Completes special projects, other duties, and annual objectives as assigned
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the gas/oil industry
  • Experience with Pipeline maintenance processes and procedures
  • Experience with asset data management/ work order management systems—EAM/ MAXIMO preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal Regulations pertaining to the Transportation of Natural Gas by Pipeline
  • Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret data, and to problem solve
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another including the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend ladders or uneven terrain
  • Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back, constantly uses and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
  • Lifts or carries 70 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds)
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions
Driver Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
  • This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required
  • Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy
