OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Plant Engineering Manager to lead plant engineering, maintenance, reliability, and automation functions. This role is responsible for minimizing equipment downtime, improving asset performance, overseeing maintenance operations, and managing capital investment planning to support long‑term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering, maintenance, reliability, and automation teams, including storeroom operations, engineers, and technicians.
- Plan, schedule, and manage maintenance activities for existing and newly installed plant assets.
- Scope maintenance and engineering work to reduce machine center downtime and improve equipment availability and OEE.
- Identify and resolve engineering issues affecting safety; ensure assets operate safely and meet ergonomic standards.
- Lead and execute projects related to equipment installation, upgrades, and infrastructure modifications.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and reliability plans in collaboration with local maintenance and corporate reliability groups.
- Define, document, and update equipment reliability requirements, maintenance plans, and asset documentation.
- Oversee automation, controls, and instrumentation systems to improve reliability, integration, and system efficiency.
- Monitor performance and recovery metrics; drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
- Manage repair/maintenance budgets and evaluate capital investment opportunities.
- Deliver capital projects on time and within scope; maintain a comprehensive 5‑year Capex plan.
- Proven leadership experience in plant engineering, maintenance, reliability, and/or automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing mechanical and electrical maintenance functions for production assets.
- Demonstrated success managing maintenance budgets and executing capital projects.
- Experience planning and scheduling maintenance work for installed and new equipment.
- Hands‑on knowledge of automation, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Reliability engineering methods: RCM, PM optimization, failure analysis, OEE/uptime improvement.
- Asset management documentation: reliability requirements, maintenance plans, critical spare parts strategies.
- Storeroom and inventory management: stocking strategies, cycle counting, spare part optimization.
- Project management for equipment installations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Safety engineering support focusing on machine safeguarding, risk reduction, and ergonomic improvements.
