This Real Estate Analyst will support Berkadia Affordable Tax Credit Solutions in facilitating complex commercial mortgage transactions and may assist with marketing efforts and borrower interactions throughout the underwriting process.
** Responsibilities
* ** Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of current and historical property income, expenses, and relevant data to determine appropriate loan terms and conditions.
* Prepare comprehensive loan submission packages, including narrative reports that recommend, justify, and describe loan requests and supporting information.
* Respond to lender inquiries by researching, analyzing, and providing additional information as required.
* Solicit bids and approve proposals for third-party reports, including appraisals, engineering assessments, and environmental studies.
* Develop detailed lender submissions for loan commitments and early rate lock, ensuring compliance with specific lender requirements.
* Perform in-depth analyses of comparable properties to determine land and building values, as well as market rental rates.
* Review and provide feedback on loan submissions prepared by internal closing and processing teams.
* Evaluate draft third-party reports, negotiate necessary changes, and ensure final approval.
* Order, review, and approve credit reports for borrowers, tenants, and other relevant entities.
* Support loan processors with data entry and updates in the loan pipeline system.
* Compile and maintain market research data and databases to support underwriting and decision-making processes.
* Serve as a point of contact for borrowers, providing guidance and support throughout the underwriting process.
* Assist originators in marketing Berkadia’s products and services to potential clients.
* Conduct financial analyses, including cash flow modeling and cost report evaluations.
* Participate in property inspections and assist with loan closings to ensure smooth execution.
* Other duties as assigned.  
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; experience with tools such as pivot tables, chart formatting, and presentation animation preferred.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
* Experience interfacing with customers and building professional relationships.#
