- Process and review loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Enter and maintain loan data in the core banking or loan origination systems.
- Perform quality control checks on loan files to verify compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Support post-closing functions, including booking, funding, and file storage.
- Handle loan payments, payoffs, extensions, and modifications as needed.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to loan status, documentation, and servicing.
- Monitor insurance and collateral requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with periodic audits, exams, and loan portfolio reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive borrower and financial institution information.
- Collaborate with loan officers, credit analysts, and customer service staff to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Conducts daily operation in accordance with the laws, regulation, policies, procedure, and expectations of the Bank. Compliance will be recognized as part of the period performance review; noncompliance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. - 2+ years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or a related financial services role.
- Familiarity with lending regulations such as RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and other applicable compliance standards.
- Experience with loan origination systems and banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry, Encompass, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
